VIJAY'S YOHAN FIRST LOOK - A COPYCAT OF FRENCH MOVIE

Indian filmmakers taking inspiration by Hollywood or Korean movies are not new. For that instance, actors copying the styles of the actors or lookalike of costumes have become a trend. Recently, we read about Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan's bike in the upcoming film Ra. One having resemblance with Tron Legacy bike.

Now, Vijay's Yohan : Adhyayam Ondru has gone a step ahead in being copycat by taking inspiration for its first look from the French film Largo Winch. Here we bring you both the posters of the respective films.

One can easily make out the striking similarities between these posters. The standing styles of the actors, skyscrapers, and looks are same but the only difference being is French actor Tomer Sisley holds a knife in his hand. Whereas, Vijay makes some hand gesture.

Vijay and Gautham Menon's Yohan : Adhyayam Ondru will take-off in 2012. Other details about the film are under wraps.

VIKRAM'S RAJAPATTAI TO CHANGE HANDS

Vikram's Rajapattai, which was rumoured to be stalled following the arrest of the producers' father, will change hands soon. Sources say that the shooting of the film has come to halt for a few weeks.

Producers Prathish and Santhosh, who have been repeatedly clarifying that Rajapattai is not in trouble, are not keen to continue the project. Hence, they are waiting for another producer to take over the movie. Sources claim that the producer will be changed very soon, as the present movie bosses are not in a mood to finish the film.

Rajapatti is produced by Prathish and Santhosh , the sons of Singanamala Ramesh , who has been arrested by the AP cops on charges of threatening to kill a film financier. Adding to that his link with Bhanu, the alleged killer of Maddelacheruvu Suri (the character played by Surya in Rakta Charitra), is turning out to be a nightmare for the Telugu producer.

Rajapattai features Vikram, Deeksha Seth and Mithra Kurian in the lead roles. It is directed by Susindran.

PRIYAMANI ISN'T VEERAPPAN'S WIFE???

Hot actress Priyamani seems to have more time for glam roles than sari-clad characters! Well, we are not saying this but the rumour mills are claiming it after she turned down the role of Veerapan's wife in an upcoming Tamil film.

Recently, there were reports that Priyamani was offered to play the role of Muthu Lakshmi, wife of slain forest brigand Veerappan but the actress was not interested to take-up the role. However, the glam doll has something other to say, as she went on to claim that she was not offered the role in the film Vana Yuddham.

The 27-year-old further adds that she was not even aware of the project and it was her Chennai friend, who told about the rumours of the actress doing Veerapan's wife in Vana Yuddham. When Priyamani was quizzed about her meeting with director Ramesh, she claims that it was for a different project.

BEZAWADA ROWDILU IN NEVER - ENDING TITLE CONTROVERSY???

Ram Gopal Varma's movie Bejawada Rowdilu on the real life rivalry on Vijaywada's politicians seems to be in never-ending title controversy. The movie, which was halted a few months ago by the Vijayawada cops in the coastal city, is still running through the same title issue, as an advocate has filed a case against the makers of the film to change the title.

Sarvodaya Mandali, a Gandhian organization, filed a petition a few months ago to cancel the shooting of the film on the lines that the movie would disturb the peaceful atmosphere and harmony in the coastal city. It also said that the title of the film shows Vizag in a bad light and urged the movie bosses to change it. In the latest development, the advocate has filed a petition echoing the same sentiment and has request the court to direct Ram Gopal Varma to rename his film.

Hence, the High Court has issued an order for the Regional Censor Board to verify the case and take appropriate action if the movie has bypassed the censor rules. Bejawada Rowdilu is said to be based on the conflicts between two politicians Devineni Nehru and late legislator Vangaveeti Ranga. Their rivalry took an ugly turn when they lost their close members of the family. As a result, Nehru's two siblings were assassinated and Ranga and his brother were killed in 1980s.

DASARI NARAYANA RAO TAKES ON SIDDHARTH!

Dasari Narayana Rao seems to have decided to take on youngsters, whose head is not placed firmly on his shoulder. The veteran filmmaker, who took a dig at Ram Charan Teja recently, wants Siddharth to apologise for his recent statement against media.

A month ago, Siddharth showed his displeasure against media on Twitter. He posted, "3rd grade 'N'ews channels will sell their families to make up an hour of TV. Clarifying their garbage & lies is not worth our time. Ignore!" But the reason for his outburst was unknown.

Following his statement, the AP Film Journalists' Association demanded an unconditional apology from him and boycotted his 180 pressmeet. Later, it wrote to the AP Film Chamber of Commerce and South Indian Film Chamber of commerce to ban him until he admits his mistakes. But, the film chambers did not heed to the organization's request. Later, it approached Dasari Narayana Rao to make Siddharth to apologize.

The senior director found that Siddharth was guilty and without much-delay he called Murali Mohan, the president of Movie Artiste Association. Dasari Narayana Rao told him that being a popular celebrity, Siddharth was not supposed make such a comment. Hence, Siddharth should apologize. The president tried to convince him by saying that it was not on the Telugu media but Dasari replied that then the actor might have made the statement against the national media. So, he would make it a national issue, if Bommarillu star does not fall into line.

Later, Dasari spoke with producer Dil Raju, who is producing Siddharth's Oh My Friend, that the producer should make Siddharth to tender an unconditional apology.

VARUN SANDESH BREAKS SHRADDHA DAS'S HEART!!!

Varun Sandesh, who is in the middle of drug controversy, could not have liked to hear this news, as Shraddha Das has admitted that they were in love before. She has claimed that it was a short-lived relationship and they have parted ways.

Speaking to a leading daily, Shraddha Das has said that they were in love for some time but it all got ended three months ago. The actress, who was open about their friendship, was heart broken after he reportedly ditched her for his Brahmigadi Katha co-star Asmita Sood. TAPSEE DENIES STARRING IN TANU WEDS MANU REMAKE???

Gorgeous Tapasee, who was reportedly starring in Tanu Weds Manu Telugu version, has denied the reports that she is acting in the film. The actress has said that the speculations are not true and she has not signed the film.

The glamdoll admits that she was approached to play the female lead role of Tanuja, which was played by Kangana Ranaut in the original. Tapasee further adds that her commitment with other projects made her to drop the film.

Badrinath, which received poor reviews from the critics, have emerged as the winner of the year. The movie, which was released on June 10, is running successfully in many theatres in not only Andhra Pradesh but also in neighboring state Karnataka.

VV Vinayak directorial has recently completed 50 days in 187 theatres. Though, the movie got thumbs down from the critics, yet the decent

storyline, action sequences and Allu Arjun's dance have attracted the mass audience.

Singer Lady Gaga may look like a tough girl owing to her outrageous dressing sense but she seems to be an emotional person. Recently, she could not hold back her tears while watching the hit US television show So You Think You Can Dance.

The "Poker Face" hitmaker, who was invited to the TV talent show as a guest judge, broke down on watching contestants Marko and Allison performed to Jeff Buckley's "I Know It's Over", as she could relate it to her youth.

"I'm just so proud of you. You really love to dance. There were so many things I did wrong when I was younger and so many things I wish I could take back," Contactmusic quoted the singer as telling the contestants. "I felt every moment of that in your dance tonight. You are absolutely incredible. Whether you are number one, three or ten, you have it," she added.

SHANKAR'S NANBAN TO LIGHT UP SCREENS DURING DIWALI

Shankar's Nanban, which is busy filming at Victoria hostel in Chennai, will be ready to light up the screens during Diwali. The movie is
currently at the third phase of the filming and the makers of the film are planning to wrap up the shoot by the end of August.

Actor Srikanth has confirmed the news that the movie will be releasing for Diwali. He claims that his portions of the shooting will be completed by August 15. He adds the film has come out well till now.

Nanban is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots, which starred Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the leads. In Tamil version, Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth are playing the key roles. While, Kareena Kapoor played Aamir's love interest in the original, Ileana D'Cruz is doing the same in Shankar directorial movie.

VEENA MALIK'S FIR ANNULLED

Veena Malik's FIR against an ex-employee for her theft at her Lahore home was annulled on Monday. Veena informs that she had filed an FIR against Muhammad Munir and later flew back to India to fulfill her work commitments. Her absence for the case made it invalid. 


"I filed an FIR against Muhammad Munir. Due to work commitments, I flew back to India. How can I be accused of not co-operating in the investigation? Why will I have such an attitude when my money (16 lakh) and gold was stolen?"says Veena to TOI. 


Veena had hired Muhammad on cricketer and ex-beau Mohammad Asif's suggestion. She told, "Asif had recommended him to me. Only God knows if Asif got this done."

SANJAY DUTT OUT OF NEXT MUNNABHAI SERIES???

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who his fans fondly call Munnabhai after his character name in Munnabhai series, is likely to be kicked out of the third series if the latest news is to be believed. News is doing the rounds that the makers of the hit franchise are planning to show the doors to Dutt and Arshad Warsi in the next instalment of the Munnabhai series to give a new look.

Sources said that producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra is planning to make a complete makeover of his Munnabhai series in spite of the fact Dutt and Arshad were the main force for the stupendous success of the last two Munnabhai films.

It seems the makers of the film want new faces for the film, as Dutt, who recently turned 52, and Arshad will be older by two years by the time the film is ready for release. It is also said that Rajkumar Hirani might not don director's cap but co-produce the film with a new director. It was reported that Anurag Basu might be roped in to direct the film but nothing has been finalised as of now.

Arshad Warsi had earlier said that the third instalment of the film tentatively titled Munnabhai Chale Amerika would go to the floors soon, and even trailers featuring him and Dutt were shot. But now, we hear that the script has been dropped and that Rajkumar Hirani has written a completely different script.

Well, we are yet to hear from the makers of the film. It will be a bold decision to kick out Dutt and Arshad if the news turns out true!

SALMAN HIKES HIS FEE TO RS.50 CRORE

It seems Salman Khan has decided to catch up on his counterparts Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan, who have been paid huge amount for their films. Riding on the back-to-back success of his films Dabangg and Ready, the actor has reportedly hiked his fee to Rs.50 crore.

Sources said that Salman has been charging only Rs.40 crore per film till date. However, his command at the box-office following the success of his recent releases has pumped in lots of confidence. Now, he is said to have decided to charge Rs.50 crore per film in the days to come.

It is said that Salman has not only hiked his fee but also has started taking interest in the unit of the film and the cast. He has reportedly recommended two directors to producer Bhushan Kumar for his next film. It is also reported that he insisted on working with his Dabangg heroine Sonakshi Sinha for Kick and even recommending his good friend Zarine Khan to film producers.

Producer Bhushan Kumar admitted that they are re-negotiating Salman's fee but the exact figure has not being revealed. Salman means business!

TELANGANA STUDENTS WARN TO START "GUJJAR" LIKE AGITATION

As part of expressing solidarity with the Telangana employees strike, Telangana Students Joint Action Committee chairman P Ravi on Friday announced a series of agitations in the Telangana region. Talking to media persons after Telangana Students Joint Action Committee State Executive Committee meeting, convened at a private hostel in the city, Ravi said the committee took unanimous decision on expressing solidarity to the employees strike beginning from August 17.

As part of agitation, Ravi said, the college students would organise 'Go to College' programme at Taluk, Mandal and district level in all colleges in Telangana region from August 5-11 to create awareness among students about extending support to the employees' strike. In the programme, he said the students would seek support of all sections of the people. The students will organise a cycle rally in Telangana region and bike rally in the state capital on August 12, he said. On August 13, he said the student leaders will picket examination centres of sub-inspectors being conducted by the state government without deleting clause 14F.

He said that the students JAC leaders will also picket degree college lecturers' examination centres to be conducted on August 14 in the state.
On August 16, the JAC leaders will picket the district Collectorates and on August 17, he said the students will boycott classes and stage rallies. Students JAC president Rajaram Yadav warned of physical attacks on those employees who failed to participate in the employees strike and sought the Seemandhra employees' cooperation for the Telangana employees strike.

He said the resignation of elected representatives would give a moral support to employees strike and students agitations. He warned of serious consequences if the elected representatives failed to resign to their posts again. He said that similar agitations would be launched on the lines of Gujjars strike. Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram participated in the meeting as chief guests.

TELANGANA FREEDOM FIGHTER IN HONOUR LIST

The heroic freedom fighter, Jagadish Arya, who hurled a bomb at the Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan on the evening of December 4, 1947, is likely to be honoured by the President, Ms Pratibha Patil, on August 9, on the occasion of the 69th anniversary celebrations of the Quit India Movement. The Hyderabad Collector, Mr Natarajan Gulzar, has recommended that he be given a place of honour in the reception.

The collector also nominated Mr M. Ramachandra Reddy from the city as another freedom fighter to be felicitated. The list of freedom fighters and their escorts will be forwarded to the revenue department which would in turn be sent it to the Centre, if the state government approves of it. Jagadish Arya, and his comrades, Narayana Rao Pawar and Gandaiah, threw a powerful bomb at the Nizam as he entered All Saint's High School Crossroads on the King Koti Road. But the Nizam escaped the attack by a whisker. The 90-year-old freedom fighter and his wife Neela Devi, who has been nominated as the escort, stay at Sultan Bazaar in Hyderabad.

Mahesh Babu's Dookudu movie is currently being wrapped up in Hyderabad and the entire talkie part along with patchwork would be completed by 31st July according to the latest updates. Also, the makers will not be releasing any audio teasers before Dookudu audio release, which is scheduled on August 7 according to the insiders. It is evident that Victory Venkatesh and director Dasharath are working on a socio-fantasy entertainer. Sources say that the movie boasts of a different concept and will be something that Venkatesh has not tried earlier in his career. ITS BORING TO WORK ON MAGADHEERA : RAJAMOULI

Ace craftsman SS Rajamouli has ruled the possibility of making films like writer turned director Trivikram Srinivas but evinced his interest on his directorial skills. Rajamouli said that Trivikram is an an extremely stylized director and he cannot make films like him. The ace director said this to question whether he is interested to make stylish movies like Athadu.

When asked about making a Magadheera sequel, Rajamouli said there's no sequel to Magadheera since there cannot be any. He has already spent couple of years on the project and it would be boring to work on the same script again. Says Rajamouli, "MD doesn't have a scope for part2. even if there is, aftr spendin 2 yrs in the project, it is boring to work in the same space again". The top director further admitted that he cannot do masterpieces like Bommarillu but will try and improve myself in his line of attack.
