IS RAGHAVA LAWRENCE STRAYING TOO MUCH???

Raghava Lawrence is one rare talent whose success is worth to be written about. It is because he became a name to reckon with in the Telugu industry, became quite a name even in Kollywood, and it did not take long time for him to achieve that. A blue-eyed boy of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna, Lawrence, a staunch devotte of Sri Raghavendra Swamy of Mantralaya, is known for his no-nonsense approach and down-to-earth persona. He won the applause of one and all with his directorial debut, Style. However, he later seemed to be very anxious to do something out of the blue. In his attempt to be hatke, again, he has made the ambitious Kanchana, where he has stepped into the shoes of a woman. A novel idea if anything, Kanchana has got mixed response.

 

 

 

However, it is felt by some of the well-wishers of Lawrence and by his fans alike that the choreographer must not push himself too much towards off-beat cinema. They want him to be a mainstream actor and only do curious films like Kanchana only rarely. It is not our case that Lawrence should not have donned a woman's character or that he should follow the beaten track, but he would do well to make sure that he tries to do regular commercial cinema to make sure that he doesn't go out of sync.
