KAJAL AGARWAL IN 9th STANDARD AT 19???

Singham, Kajal Agarwal's maiden Hindi film as 'lead actress', is releasing this Friday (July 22nd). As part of the film's promotion, Kajal has been telling the Mumbai media that she did Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na just for fun as she was studying 9th standard.

Interestingly, Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na was released in 2004, yet she says she was in school. That makes she was in 9th standard at the age of 19, for she is born in 1985. Either she must by lying her age, or she's ashamed of her role(she played friend to the leading lady Aishwarya Rai; a miniscule character) in that movie. 

NAGA CHAITANYA'S "DHADA" MOVIE AUDIO RELEASE LIVE ON MAA MOVIES

Dhada audio release will take place at Shilpa Kala Vedika today evening from 7 PM and MAA Movies, Maa Music and TV9 will air the Dhada audio songs launch function live. All arrangements for this Dhada music launch are almost completed. Sources say that Naga Chaitanya will be seen in a completely new avatar in this movie, which is tipped to be an action love entertainer. Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya  and several others are expected to attend Dhada songs launch function. Aditya Music will be releasing the audio and promotions would be geared up in this month via TV commercials, interviews, etc.

'SINGHAM' EARNS NET RS 9.1 CRORE ON OPENING DAY

Ajay Devgn's "Singham", directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Reliance Entertainment, has got a good opening, grossing net Rs.9.1 crore at the box office despite there being no screening in Karnataka.

The film, a remake of Tamil blockbuster "Singham", released Friday.

"The film's net domestic collection is Rs.9.1 crore. The gross earning is Rs.12 crore and if we include the international box office collection, then the total gross collection is Rs.14 crore," said Sanjeev Lamba, CEO, Reliance Entertainment.

"The film didn't release in Karnataka," he said, and added that the "problem has been sorted out in the state".

Screening of the film was disrupted in Karnataka Friday after pro-Kannada activists protested against the alleged anti-Kannada dialogues in the Tamil remake..

The hit jodi of Shetty and Ajay teamed up for an action thriller after eight years - the duo had collaborated for 2003 release "Zameen".

This is said to the biggest opening for an Ajay Devgn starrer.

Story:

Dhada starring Naga Chaitanya and Kajal Agarwal is presently progressing in Ramoji Film City. The film is taking shape in the hands of director Ajay Bhuyan under the banner Sri Kamakshi Enterprises banner. Producer Siva Prasad Reddy is making efforts to release the film on August 11th. On this occasion a press meet was held at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad yesterday.

Addressing the media producer Siva Prasad Reddy said, "Right now the post production works is at brisk progress. Except for little bit of talkie the shooting is almost done. Naga Chaitanya, who earned the lover boy image with 'Ye Maya Chesave' and '100% Love', is going to appear as a mass hero in this film. The title 'Dhada' is receiving very good response even from non-Telugu speaking public.

The story is on America backdrop mixed with love and action elements. Due to strike in Tollywood, we were unable to shoot the entire film in USA. So a part of the film was canned here only. The protagonist is an Indian student living in USA. This movie cannot be compared with Nagarjuna 'Siva' because it's unique in its own way. The director is shaping up the film very well. We are making this film with high technical values. Devisri music is fabulous. There are altogether 6 songs and about seven fights. We are going to release the film through RR Movies Makers banner on August 11th. The audio will be launched on July 24th." On behalf of RR Movie Makers Bhaskar thanked the producer Siva Prasad Reddy and Nagarjuna for allowing them to release the movie.
