NAGARJUNA AS ANTI - RAZAKAR REBEL IN RAJANNA

The very title of Akkineni Nagarjuna's forthcoming film, Rajanna, evokes certain curiosity. That it is a period film only raises the interest levels. We will tell you something which is bound to create a hype around the film: Rajanna is going to have lots of action and punch lines. Not just that, the Yuvasamrat is playing a gutsy opponent of the Razakars, a private milita which fought against the inclusion of Hyderabad in India after the country became free from the British. Even a child in the Telugu state would know that the Razakars were bravely fought against by many brave martyrs who laid their lives to free Hyderabad State from their devilish grip.

It is this in that time and age that Rajanna is set. Directed by Vijayendra Prasad, the film has got much hype around it. SS Rajamouli is choreographing some fight sequences on Nagarjuna and others. Rajanna is in the last leg of shooting and it will be wound up in the second half of August. The producers are planning to release the film as a Dasara gift. The Keeravani musical will be out in the stores in September.

NAGARJUNA GIVES IT ALL FOR SAI BABA ROLE

It is widely talked about that Nagarjuna is giving it his all for the role of Shirdi Sai Baba that he is playing in a K Raghavendra Rao film. The buzz is that he is doing lots of homework to pull it off remarkably well to ensure that he perfects the nuances before the film goes to sets. Nag created ripples at the box office when he surprised everyone with his portrayal of Annamacharya, the devotee of Lord Balaji, more than a decade ago. From the pundit to the layman, Nag was a revelation to one and all. His second devotional avatar, that of Sri Ramadasu, won him lots of accolades too though it was not a box office sensation.

Almost five years after Ramadasu, Nag has fallen in love with the role of Shirdi Sai and his fans are quite confident that Nag will repeat history again with this film. Over the years, the glamorous actor has grown mature and sober and this attitude may well show itself in the role that he is going to play with much interest. Is Nag getting better with age? Perhaps! Anyways, let's we wish Nag all the very best!

KUDOS TO TELUGU CINEMA KING NAGARJUNA

Telugu cinema King Akkineni Nagarjuna deserves kudos for the best effort he is making to institute a world-class acting centre in apna Hyderabad. As is well-known, he has set up the much-in-news International School of Films and Media, which is an ambitious project to say the least.  The actor is being lavished with praises by his colleagues in the industry and others for his praise-worthy attempt to offer the Telugu talent an opportunity to hone their talents without having to go to a New York.
To quote the handsome actor, who is in his late 40s, the institute seeks to evolve the actors who can learn acting in the Indian context. Already, Prakash Raj has been roped in to head the acting department. What more, Amala, the ever supportive wife of Nag, is also involved in making the venture the best in the town. She is reportedly camping in Chennai to persuade wonderful talents like Mani Ratnam, Revathy, Suhasini and many others to be part of her hubby's venture. Well done, Nag! Hope others in the industry also emulate you in future.

NAGARJUNA'S "SAI BABA" MOVIE MUSIC SETTINGS

Telugu films King Akkineni Nagarjuna's devotional movie 'Sai Baba' has just begun music sittings. Under the supervision music director of MM Keeravani, the movie's music sittings are currently on in Shirdi Sai Baba temple in Shirdi as a part of the pre-prduction activity. Director K Raghavendra Rao, Keeravani and Lyricist Vedavyas completed composing the music for the first song.

Nagarjuna earlier delivered successful devotional movies like Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu, which were also directed by K Raghavendra Rao. And even the music was composed by MM Keeravani. In fact, many say that the music rocks when Raghavendra Rao and Keeravani come together. And this time Nagarjuna would be seen in Sai Baba avatar so let's hope that yet another musical hit is in the beckoning.
